Welcome to our campaign website; I appreciate you taking the time to learn a little bit more about our campaign and why I’m running for County Court-at-Law Judge.

I’m running for judge to do the job, not just to have the title or wear the robe. When Judge Velasquez decided to retire, many people from all parts of the community encouraged me to run for judge. As a native of Victoria, a husband, and a father, my family and community mean a lot to me. My parents taught me the importance of fair play, helping others, and treating people with respect. I will take these values to the bench if elected judge. I believe that my courtroom experience, along with a broad background practicing criminal, civil, family, and juvenile law, has helped prepare me to serve as a County Court Judge. I’ve practiced before many different judges in a variety of courts over the years, and have gained valuable knowledge from each of them. Above all, I know how important it is that a judge be impartial, know the law, and follow the law.
